Treasure Drawer
I just finished watching the funny TV series Our Flag Means Death, which left me in a piratey mood. Thus, I am revealing one of my secrets: the chocolate drawer in the kitchen, pictured. They are mint-crisp chocolates wrapped in gold foil, but every time I open the drawer and see the sparklies I like to imagine for a few moments that I am rich. Then the aroma of peppermint essence makes me hungry.
Lost Solace Blog Tour - Finale
Final mention of this! I linked to the full schedule of tour sites here and have already highlighted some of the posts; here are a few more.
Bookshortie said: “What was interesting about Clarissa was that she’s not just an AI companion, she’s a little different. She has a personality and she starts to genuinely care for Opal and becomes concerned when Opal gets in trouble. The more that Clarissa and Opal interact the more that Clarissa grows.” Full review.
Reviewsfeed gave the book 5 stars: “The interactions between Opal and Clarissa are hilarious to read and their relationship is one of my favourite aspects of the book.” Full review.
“Lost Solace is a fast-paced, high speed book, made even better in audiobook format thanks to some great character voices,” according to What Rebecca’s Read. Full review.
Author Colin Garrow praised aspects such as “Drinkwater’s writing is realistic and original, making the story believable and authentic in terms of what may well be possible in years to come.” Full review.
MJ Porter had more praise for the audiobook version read by Marisha Tapera! “Lost Solace is a hugely enjoyable book, and the narrator is absolutely fabulous. She brings wonderful warmth to our main character, and also our AI companion.” Full review.
If that tempts you to give my wonderful book a go, then you can buy Lost Solace from any bookshop or online store, or direct from me.
Thanks for reading,

Not so bad being rich in chocolate, eh? Thanks for posting, Karl.
When I was about nine years old I was asked to lead an old dog round a ring in a charity dog show. My father told me I would be paid for this chore.
I had only just come from a tiny island in the Pacific so I was pretty naive.
My old dog won nothing but the owner, a kindly old man leaned down and after patting me on the head, handed me a bag of chocolate coins. I was furious and sulked for the rest of the day. I felt utterly cheated.
But I like your "coins" and I love mint chocolate so please do tell me where you source them.
