Ebook Royalties: Traditional Publishing Versus Independent Authors
Ebooks are a useful focus for sums, since – once the work is written and formatted – making extra digital copies costs the publisher nothing. No printing, no warehouses, no paper and glue and ink, no transportation in big trucks and boats. “You want a copy?” (Author clicks fingers, accompanied by magical tintinnabulation, and a new ebook poofs into existence with a whiff of vanilla.) “There you go.”
