The Book Bloggers' Novel of the Year Award
As usual, I have been busy. This time dealing with the rewards from my Afua Kickstarter and sending out luxury hardbacks; liaising with writing/editing clients; teaching; working on my next book; showing films at the cinema; gardening; and later on I have offered to help remove a shopping trolley from the river.
Big news is that Lost Solace has progressed to the semi-finals of The Book Bloggers' Novel of the Year Award. It’s exciting because a major award would introduce new readers to my work (and the cash prize would be very welcome as well!) I will keep you informed of progress.
If you’ve never read Lost Solace, it is available in most shops, but can also be bought in a way where I get more of the royalties, either in ebook form, or printed (paperback / hardback). Same with the exciting sequel, Chasing Solace (ebook, paperback, hardback).
Title Echoes
I often look out for works with titles that strike me, and spotted these two recently.
I hope no one gets Solace Lost mixed up with Lost Solace!
I assure you that I am not an Earl and do not need a house keeper.
Though if you would like to donate to my house keeper fund I do have a subscription option …
It’s £16 a year, cancel at any time. If you enjoy my words or thoughts then you’ll receive all the posts reserved for paid subscribers, along with ebooks of any new releases. These subscriptions are vital to me since book sales are irregular income. Some months I’m lucky, some less so. Paid subscribers help even that out so that I have a more reliable income that can fill in the gaps in leaner months, and make it easier to pay bills and plan ahead.
And buy cake.
May your days have many rainbows! Happy Lammas!
