Lost Solace Hardbacks
All the people who backed my last Kickstarter and ordered hardback editions of the Lost Solace books have now received them. And I have, in turn, received lovely messages about how impressed my fans were! For example, this one, from someone who had never read a Lost Solace book before:
And Dx sent me a photo of the books on their shelf at home:
For an author, the aim is to be read. So when my books make my fans happy, that makes me happy!
Website Additions
My new website now has options to buy any of my ebooks, paperbacks or hardbacks, and even a few merchandise options. A great place to get your copies!
Rising Star
You’ll have to click to enlarge that, but the other day I was at #23 in Substack’s “Rising Bestsellers in Fiction”. Salman Rushdie was at #46. With a few more paid subscribers I may get to number 1!
Review Corner
This time, a review of Ruabon from On The Shelf Reviews.
“Ruabon is just packed full of action, tension with a subtle bit of humour in there too. As always Karl Drinkwater creates fantastically believable characters and Ruabon is no different. Ruabon is a short and sweet sci-fi tale that is a great way to escape from reality for a while.”
You can buy the book from me, or any online store; one of the companies I work with also sells print copies.
Personal News From The Realm Of Drinky
I’ve taken a stance against many uses of generative AI. You can read more about it here, but my book blurbs now end with:
“Note: this work is 100% human-created, crafted with love by the author. No generative AI has been used in the writing or editing.”
I’ve also been writing about real world things which I think are positive. There’s a mass of injustice and cruelty in the world, so it is nice to focus on ideas that can encourage change. Here are three of those ideas.
I hope you have some positive stories to share!
May your plums be juicy,
Karl
"May your plums be juicy, ...." 😂
And thats why one should always try to read until The End.
